It's that time of year again! Did you know that over 50% of FAL’s donations come from the Annual Fund Appeal? This major fundraising campaign is held twice a year during the spring and fall, with all proceeds benefiting the Alameda Free Library and providing much-needed support

The heart of our organization, FAL volunteers have contributed untold hours staffing the cafe, BFF, and the Used Book Sale; sorting book donations; and assisting with Live @ the Library

We are excited to begin working with Acting Library Director Marlon Romero, who is managing the library until a permanent Library Director is hired. The City expects to hire a permanent director in early 2024. In the meantime, we are delighted to have Marlon on our team. I encourage you
